MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION

The mission of the Foundation is to protect and promote the artistic legacy of Andrzej Strumiłło, which constitutes an important part of Poland’s national heritage, to deepen knowledge about his life and work, as well as the artistic achievements of the Strumiłło family members. The Foundation also supports new artistic and research initiatives.


CHAPTER II

OBJECTIVES, PRINCIPLES, FORMS, AND SCOPE OF THE FOUNDATION’S ACTIVITIES

§ 4

  1. In order to achieve its statutory objectives, the Foundation may support the activities of other legal and natural persons whose actions align with or are similar to its statutory objectives.
  2. The cooperation referred to in § 4(1) may include, in particular, organizational and material support, partial or full funding, as well as refinancing of projects or activities aimed at achieving the Foundation’s statutory objectives.

§ 5

  1. The Foundation may use a legally protected graphic symbol and a seal containing its identification data.
  2. As part of its international cooperation, the Foundation may use translations of its name into foreign languages.

§ 6

  1. The primary objectives of the Foundation are:
    1. Popularization, promotion, protection, inventorying, and documentation of Andrzej Strumiłło’s artistic work;
    2. Supporting activities aimed at spreading and deepening knowledge about the life and personality of Andrzej Strumiłło;
    3. Initiating, supporting, and activating educational, scientific, and popularization activities related to the artistic legacy of the Strumiłło family;
    4. Supporting activities related to the accessibility, documentation, and protection of cultural assets collected by the Strumiłło family, including the architectural and landscape complex in Maćkowa Ruda, the collection of Andrzej Strumiłło’s works, oriental art, a library, and an archive;
    5. Financial support for the Andrzej Strumiłło Center;
    6. Cooperation with faculties of Polish universities and Polish institutions responsible for the preservation of artistic, scientific, and social heritage;
    7. Supporting artistic creativity in all its forms and the institutions associated with it, including cooperation with governmental and local government bodies;
    8. Actively promoting culture and art, fostering cultural awareness, and supporting cultural education initiatives;
    9. Initiating and conducting educational activities, particularly in the field of fine arts, as well as scientific and research activities related to knowledge and the preservation of Poland’s cultural-historical and natural heritage, with a special focus on the Suwałki region;
    10. Gathering a broad community of artists, critics, art enthusiasts, scientists, cultural activists, and managers in Poland and abroad around the Foundation’s mission, as well as cooperating with other entities pursuing similar objectives;
    11. Supporting social initiatives that align with the Foundation’s ideals;
    12. Securing funding from state and local government institutions, companies, and private individuals for the realization of the stated objectives.
